I am researching my family of OYERs. They came to Pittsburgh some time around 1843. The family was from Prussia:

Michael OYER was a foundry man, and his wife, Doretha KOCH had the following children:

Christian/Christopher b 1824 was a tobacconist, married 1) Louisa BYERLY or Buerle
2) Mary Catherine WIGGINTON

Henry b 1828 was a tobacconist/cigar maker, married Delila Phoebe HOTTEL from Steubenville, Ohio

Anna Bertha married Michael WILLRICH

Andrew b1830

In the 1850 census they all lived in the 7th Ward Pittsburgh (312 Penna Ave)
In 1860 and 1870 Michael lived in Lower St Clair.

They were members of the Smithfield German Protestant Church and some were buried at Troy Hill Cemetery.

Any information about this family will be very much appreciated.
