If the year you indicated (1982) is correct, then you need to contact the Pa. Dept. of Health to get the death certificate:
PA Dept. of Health
Division of Vital Records
101 S. Mercer St., Rm. 401
P.O. Box 1528
New Castle, PA 16101
724-656-3100

If you meant 1882 or 1892, then you need to be aware that formal death certificates wre not issued before 1906. Prior to that, for deaths in the city of Pittsburgh, you will receive a copy of the death register entry, which is bigger than a check but doesn't contain parents' names for adult decedents until some time after 1892. For deaths in Allegheny County outside Pittsburgh, there was no formal registration of deaths. Instead, what the Register of Wills describes as a death index is actually an index to people whose estates were administered in the county. So all you actually receive (and it sounds like this is what you got) is a copy of the info from the Letters of Administration, which doesn't contain much more than name, date of death, and last residence. And if the person died outside Pittsburgh and didn't have an estate probated, then there would be no record at all.
