I don't know if this post is too old now but want to try. My G grandfather Thaddus FICKEL was from Adam/York co. He married Leah Jane CHRONISTER. After the Civil war he was given land in Iowa and he moved his family there. Hopefully we can figure out if HOFFMAN & FICKEL are related.
