Debra:
This is my a copy of an email I sent to Diane Shultz.
Hi Diane:
I thought I would make a try to find some proof of the Jerusalem Story. I did a search on Ancestry.com and the Ellis Island sites (
historyCenter@ellisisland.org/" target="_blank">http://
historyCenter@ellisisland.org/ ) for a female born 1892 +- 1 year who arrived by ship at either New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore or Boston between the years 1890 and 1900 and who is named - FIRST NAME: 1. Eva Grace, 2. Grace Eva, 3. Eva, 4. Grace - SURNAME: Sturtz. I searched for each first and last name and then only for the first names and only for the last name. No hits resulted from the searches except one for a female aged 27 years old, named Grace Sturtz, who entered the U.S. in 1915 and was a U.S. citizen. Not much of a hit.
In fact on the Sturtz search alone only a hand-full showed up, most were male, only a few were in the targeted years and none were name Grace Eva, Eva Grace etc., and none of them were in the range of the 1892 birth year.
Based on the above results it can be stated that Eva Grace did not enter the U.S.A. between the years 1890 and 1900.
