In searching familysearch.org, I discovered that the NOAH HEIKES, whose family Bible my mother purchased some years back in Ohio for a quarter, was born in Franklin Township, Adams Co., PA. His parents were LAWRENCE HEIKES and CATHERINE MYERS. The following information is contained in an 1828 Philadelphia printed German Bible:

Noah Heikes was born May the 21, 1826 and Catherine Dick born May the 10, 1827 were united in Matrimony on the 24 day of October 1847 by Rev. Cha. Wiltmer.

Mary Ellen Heikes was born May the 4, 1850, Baptized by Rev. J. Ulrich

Samuel Henry Heikes was Bron March the 9, 1852 Baptized by Rev. T. Heny
