DELL A. BILLETTE
Graveside services for Dell A. Billette, age 59, of Newberg, who died May 21, of an apparent heart attack, were Friday, May 24, 2 p.m. at Valley View Memorial park. Roger Knox, pastor of the North Valley Friends Church, officiated and Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangments.
Dell A. Billette was born the son of Joseph Billette and the former Annette Bistodeau in Rogers, Minn. on July 2, 1914. He grew up and attended school in Minn., moving to White Salmon, Wash., as a young man where he worked in the saw mill. He moved to Hood River before joining the U. S. Navy during World War II.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy he came to Newberg to live and work as a logger. On June 6, 1943 he was married to Georgia Parry in Newberg. He worked in logging as a partner with his brother-in-law, Billette and Parry Logging, retiring in 1962.
Surviving are: his widow, Georgia, his mother Annette Billette, Elk River, Minn.; two sons, Clarence and George, both of Newberg; two daughters, Linda Omeg, The Dalles and Corrine Adams, Newberg; two brothers, Richard, Dublin, Calif., and Leon, White Salmon, Wash.; four sisters, Marian Booth, Minneapolis, Minn., Madeline Milne of Pasadena, Calif., Lenore Joyer of Medford, and Lena Glass of Chico, Calif.; and 2 grandchildren.
