July 7, 1860 Mary Jane Hembree married John William Shull. She had previously been married to John Sanderson. She and Shull had 2 sons, William (born 1862) and Frederick (born 1864). Mary Jane and Shull divorced in 1868 and Shull was given custody of the boys. But in the 1870 census the boys are not in his household. Did they go back to live with their mother? I can find no record of them.
