Funeral For Jackson County Pioneer Held Here Monday

Anson Walker Jacobs, 80, pioneer of Jackson county and a resident of Yamhill the last five years, died at his home there Friday.

Born in Iowa Jan. 13, 1856, Mr. Jacobs came to Jackson county in early days, later moving to Salem and then to Yamhill. He was a member of the Brethren church.

Surviving are the widow, Maude Ann Jacobs; two sons, Chalmer B. of Kerry, Ore., and Weaver G. of Taft; four daughters, Dora Jane DeVere of Kelseyville, Cal., Deselle J. Rorabaugh of Portland, Maude Mae Stiffler of Salem and Golda Gladys Lemley of Cottage Grove.

Funeral services were held from the Macy & Son chapel Monday afternoon with commitment in Riverview cemetery, Portland.
