GEORGE W. MALLORY

The death of George W. Mallory, a former resident of this section, occurred at McMinnville, Oregon, May 11th, following a major operation.

He was born in Whitehall, Wis., in 1868. In 1898 remarried to Miss Cynthia Hornibrook. Ten children were born. Survivors besides the widow, include Mary, Wilbur, Glen and Albert, of Yamhill; Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Tolliver, of Gaston, and Mrs. F.E. Thacker, of Sheridan; one brother, Melvin Mallory, of Newberg; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Briggs, of Independence, Wis.; Mrs. Alma Cummings, of Alma Center, Wis.; Miss Ethel Mallory, of Whitehall, Wis.

Mr. Mallory was a resident of Yamhill for 20 years, engaged in the dairy business. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. The funeral was conducted from the Christian church May 12th, at Yamhill, Rev. A.S. Bash officiating.
