The cemetery just east of Joseph is the Prairie Creek cemetery.

"Oregon Burial Site Guide", page 866, says of Pine Creek cemetery in Wallowa County:
Township 2 north, Range 46 east, section 27.
"The burials of father and son are located along Pine Creek Road on the west side of Pine Creek about 3 miles northwest of Zumwalt at the crow flies or likewise 3 miles southeast of Greenwood Butte as the crow files. Thomas Maynard, died 6 February 1886 and son Thomas J. Maynard, died 7 April 1887, are buried here. Rebecca Jane Maynard, the wife and mother, died 20 December 1891, is buried in Prairie Creek Cemetery."

I don't actually see it on this map, but my best guess is that is the area they mean:
