Vaughn Edward "
Jake" Liv-
ingston, 75, died July 8 at his
home in Union.
Mr. Livingston was born Oct.
21, 1906, in Salt Lake City,
Utah,
to Robert E. and Jennie Ander-
son
Livingston. He lived in Salt
Lake City until 1918, then moved
to Payson,
Utah. He graduated
from
Payson High School and
Brigham Young University.
On Oct 2, 1926, he married
Maxene Greenhaigh in
Oakland,
Calif. He worked for the U.S.
Forest
Service for 35 years,
01702601serving as district
ranger in Entiat, Wash., and in
Union. He participated in school
and community service proj-
ects.
Mr. Livingston was an active
member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of
Latter Day Saints. He
served as bishop of the Union
Ward, and was a high counselor,
and a scout master.
He is survived by his wife
Maxene in Union; five sons,
Vaughn E. of Olympia, Wash.,
Albert N. of Ephrata, Wash.,
Robert
Ladd of Coueur d'Alene,
Idaho, Alan James of Eugene,
and
Garth of Union; a brother,
Robert A. Livingston of
Hay-
ward, Calif.; two sisters, Jua-
nita
Hurley of San Ramon,
Calif., and Lucile Silver of
Gon-
zales, Calif.; 21 grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren,
and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday from
5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at
PayneFamily Mortuary. Services will
be Monday at 10 a.m. at the
Church of Jesus
Christ of Lat-
ler-day Saints,
La Grande Stake Center, 1802 Gekeler
Lane.

ciate. Dedication of the grave
will follow at the Union Ceme-
tery.
