Surnames: Wilson, Russell, Jensen, Booher, Nordeen, Schultz
Wow...there are so many possibilities for finding information on this family that it is hard to believe you have hit a brick wall.
Have you obtained any of Alice's children's Social Security applications?
Alice was a long time resident of Athena and the Athena paper should have covered her passing. It is available on microfilm at the Pendleton library. You can contact the library or the genealogy center in Umatilla Co. to assist you with a lookup.
When Roy passed away in 1945 he had a piece of property in Athena in which his brothers and sisters were named as heirs/survivors. Was this the original family estate of Alice and William? Do you have those records? They would be available at the county courthouse in Pendleton.
I am not quite understanding your statement "there is no death record available". Did you contact the county or the archives and were told she does not have a death certificate? What do the children's DC's say? Some are available at the State Archives:

There was a May Russell, wife of David, who lived in Athena at the time of William and Alice's marriage. She passed away in 1939 at the home of her son. Was the May you are seeking mentioned in a marriage announcement?
Della Lois Russell b. 3/4/1895 married Elmer Booher. They lived in Condon for quite some time then she moved to Pendleton in the 50's. She passed away in Pendleton in 1974 and is also buried in the Athena cemetery. Her obituary only states that she was born near Athena on the family farm, but does not give details on her parents.

I just saw your family tree and I see that you have a lot of this information, but none on the daughters except Thena.
If you know that May was born in 1850 in Wisconsin, it would be a great idea to post that info and any other that you have.
