Surnames: Norvell, Dorsey, Johnson
Just a short addition.
Laura, the lady that will do the local research in Pendleton for you, also sent a message to me in which she found:
Rhoda and Lewis divorced in 1917. The proof:

Just type in "Johnson, Rhoda". The divorce is listed first. The other Rhoda A. Johnson with an estate action in 1939 is a different person. She looked good at first but research identified her as someone else. She was 86, born in Illinois, born about 1844.
I looked for ANY Rhoda/Roda in the 1920 census, born plus/minus 5 years of 1864 (to include all possible year of birth), without success. She may have remarried, may have changed her first name, or used her middle as her first (I find this periodically). If she died before 1920, she'd better do it soon.
