CHARLES M. MCCRAW
DIES AFTER ILLNESS
Charles M. McCraw, 76, well known retired farmer, of the Milton-Freewater district died on Thursday in a
Pendleton hospital following an extended illness.
He was born on june 6, 1878, in New
Santa Fe,
Missouri, and came to the Milton-Freewater area in 1921. His wife,
Verna McCraw, preceeded him in death on September 15, 1951.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy)
Karker and Mrs. George (Evelyn)
Cockburn, both of Milton-Freewater, Mrs. James (Ethel)
Robinson, Woodlaw,
Calif., Mrs Earl (Ruth)
Swenson, Portland and Mrs. William (Margaret)
Fellows,
Connell. One sister, Mrs. Eliza
Penn, Grandview, Mo. and six grandchildren also survive.
