Mabel Catherine Shull
PENDLETON- Lifelong area resident, Mabel Catherine Shull, 83, of Pendleton, died Saturday, May 27, 1989, at Amber Valley Care Center in Pendleton.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pendleton with vault interment at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.
She was born March 17, 1906 at Pilot Rock to John and Bertha Kamarath McKeown and was one of eight daughters. Her grandparents, the Kamaraths were early homesteaders of the Pilot Rock area.
She grew up in the area and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Pendleton and was employed at Pendleton Woolen Mills at one time.
On April 6, 1929, she married Ralph Leo Shull at Walla Walla,. He died in 1982.
Mrs. Shull was a member of the Catholic Church
Survivors include nieces, Geraldine Salta and Janice Tankersley, both of Portland. Donna DeVine of Salem.
