Carl F. Leach
A graveside service will be held for Carl F. Leach, Jr., on March 18 at 11 a.m. at Bay City IOOF Cemetery.
Carl was born April 9, 1929, in Tillamook to Carl F. Leach, Sr., and Ruth D. Smith.
He passed away March 10 in Tillamook at age 80.
Carl grew up in Tillamook and graduated from Tillamook High School in 1949.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1953.
He returned to Tillamook and worked for Oregon/Washington Plywood, Louisiana Pacific Plywood and Publishers Lumber Mill.
Carl married Wreatha Towler on Aug. 18, 1972, in Tillamook.
Carl lived his entire life in Tillamook. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing golf. He loved all nature and the animals in it.
He is survived by his wife, Wreatha of Tillamook; son Loren Leach of Lincoln City, and step-daughters Rhonda Brown of Sri Lanka, India, and Nancy Towler of Lewiston, Idaho; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his son, Carl Leach, III.
