Classification: Query
Surnames: Neydle, Geise, Moshofsky, Zervas
I am looking for the obit’s for:
Juliana (Neydle/Geise) Zervas.
Died: June 6, 1964-Multnomah County, Oregon.
Mary (Neydle/Lensky) Moshofsky
Died: April 27, 1922-Cedar Mill, Washington County, Oregon
These two are sisters, their mother (Rosina Schubert Neydle) passed away shortly after giving birth to Juliana. The family legend is that than the father (Wenzel Neydle) committed suicide after his wife passed away and all four children (Frank, Elizabeth, Mary, Juliana) were adopted out to different families. When the girls got older they both moved from Wisconsin with their husbands to the Portland area. I am trying to piece things together and obit’s might really help.
I was also wondering where in the Portland or surrounding area can a person look up obit’s? I checked the Multnomah County Library and on their website it states The Oregonian microfiche starts in 1988. I would travel to the Portland area in the future if I could look up obit’s. I have about 10 other ancestors that I need obit’s for.
Thank you so much, any help is very much appreciated.
