Edwin Brown, a pioneer resident of
Medford aged 52 years, died last night after a long illness. He was born in
New York, an was in the War of the Rebellion, enlisting in 1862, and serving until its close. He was married to Clara M. Coyle in 1877. Mr. Brown was a member of the firm of W.H. Meeker & Co., dry goods dealers, of this city. He left a wife, living here, and one son, of St. Joseph, Mo. Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow, Rev. W.B. Moore, officiating. Interment will be in
Odd Fellows cemetery.
