Dies Suddenly
Prominent
Gilliam County Farmer Succumbs To Heart Failure
Condon, OR-Feb. 17
J. O. Lewis, a prominent farmer of Rock
Creek, died from heart failure at this place yesterday. He was in apparent good health until a few minutes before his death. Mr. Lewis was well known throughout
Gilliam County and was the Democratic nominee for County Commissioner at the last election.
He was 37 years old and leaves a widow and three small children, also two brothers, Frank and Charles Lewis, both of
Gilliam County. He was buried today at
Olex under the auspices of the Masons. The funeral was largely attended by mason and
Knights of Pythias from
Arlington and
Condon.
