I saw your message and wanted to respond. My father was Joseph William Winningham VII from Alabama. His father was a James (I believe H. Winningham) and his mother was Minnie Belle Gibson. I am looking for any information on the whereabouts of any Winninghams from Alabama or Georgia. Joseph (my father) moved to California sometime in the 1950's and lost touch with family in Alabama and Georgia. I am trying to fill in a family tree. just browsing and saw your old info here - my grandfather was Ernest Dow Winningham from Lanett, Alabama - I know for certain that there are several men who are named Joseph in our ancestry, please email me and we can check a little more, my first cousin in Maryland has lots of info.
