I am cleaning my files. I found a brochure I marked '51.

It is for the Evans Fly Company in Bend. Folds out to a map of Central Oreg. would like to put this in hands of somebody who cares, maybe museum

There is a picture of the bulding which looks somewhar familiar. but I don't get to Bend that often to check it out. I have it scanned if anyone is interested.

Perhaps this is a bit off subject, but anyone can help would appreciate it. I found an older brochure for Mt Vernon Hot Springs. I was reading the Grant co boards and some one mentioned it there. I posted I had this brochure and there wasquite a bit of interest. I mailed today to Grant co Gen Soc

First you have to tell me where that place was located and is building still there?

If I knew where the building was and if it is still there I wouldn't want the bochure. Wm. Ovid Evans was the founder of the Evans Fly Company in Bend Oregon. He sold the place several years before his death.
In 1958 the Evans Fly Company was on 732 South 3rd Street.
Where are you from? If you have scanned the bochure could you send me a copy via internet?

That is about where i remembered it to be south side of town on US-97. In those days that was south end of town.

There is more to that brochure, photos and maps, mileages, but the building is the most specific to Evans
I will be in Bend next month will drive by and see what is there.

In 1958 Evans Fly Co., was located at 732 South 3rd St.
In previous years the location was usually listed as South Highway 97.

Thanks Laura. I think I got into the archives for Bend Bulletin last night. I found a few articles with the Evans Fly Company advertising the fishing contest, hunting contest, ect. It was most interesting.
