I am currently trying to find information on a family member of mine name Syvia Onnia Aulin that was married to my great great uncle George Erik Niemi. My records tell me that Sylvia was born on Nov. 20th, 1905 in Astoria, Oregon and that she died in 1997 in Astoria. Her Husband George Erik Niemi was born July 2, 1904 and Died in 1986. Unfortunately I haven't found out any info on whether or not they had children. If anyone could help me with that info, it would be great. Apparently Obits tend to list that kind of information, so if anyone could find the Obituary for either of the two that might do it. I appreciate any help, Thanks!

Thanks Ron, I did have her information on Ancestry and i added that source. I was just seeing if anyone else like could find her obit or had any other information on Sylvia.

The Daily Astorian newspaper is on microfilm at the Astoria Public Library. So here's the info: Sylvia Onnia Niemi, 91, died Astoria, Thursday 13 Feb 1997. Born Astoria, 20 Nov 1905 to Victor and Hilda Hyyppa Aulin. Graduated: AHS and attended Astoria Business College. Married George Niemi 25 Sep 1925. He died 1986. Lived in San Francisco for 20 years: owned and operated Vic's Grocery Store. Then returned to Astoria. Surviving: brother-in-law Benjamin Niemi and his wife Lempi Niemi (my neighbors for 27 years!) and niece Karen Niemi of Portland. No mention of any children. And that is what I remember, also. Burial: Ocean View Cemetery. So there is more than you wanted to know, I suppose, but thought I'd include the entire obituary. Barbara
