George H. Zimmerman was the son of Jacob Zimmerman who was born in Baden, Germany. George was born in Oregon on September 7, 1852. George married Jessie McCall September 26, 1883. They had four children: Jessie M., Olive H., Mabel J. and Isabel F.

You most likely know that Jacob Zimmerman's house in Portland, Oregon is on the National Register of Historic Houses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Zimmerman_House
