ROSTYKUS John

Services for John ROSTYKUS, 74, of Modesto, are scheduled for 10 a. m. Friday at Turlock Memorial Park.
Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
Mr. ROSTYKUS was born in Harrah, Okla., and died Tuesday at his residence.
He was the youngest of eight children born to Russian immigrants. He served in the Navy from 1950 to 1954 and lived in San Diego after his discharge. He received a degree and teaching credential.
He taught in Whittier before moving to Newhall where he taught, then served as vice principal, then director of business for the Newhall School District. At retirement in 1980, he moved to Turlock where he lived until 1994, when he moved to Modesto.
Survivors include: son Douglas J. ROSTYKUS of Riverbank: daughter Joni MacKay of Los Angeles; and brother Leo ROSTYKUS of Fresno; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
