Hello I was wondeing if you could help me out. If you could look up a name for me on the Osage roll, The names would be Mikel or Bates .

Can you tell me how to find the Osage roll numbers? I have a great grandmother who lived on the Osage Reservation. I do not have her maiden name. Sarah Jane Culleson was her first married name. She was Sarah Jane Sloan after marrying my great grandfather. Any information would be great!

Sarah Jane Culleson Sloan was my great grandmother. That was her Christian name. I do not know her given name. You will probably not find any records on her. The records office for the Osage Nation in Pawhuska, OK burned down a long time ago. She was full blooded Cherokee. A little known fact is that a Cherokee chief tried to buy her from my great grandfather. They were married on the reservation. Her husband was from Pennsylvania. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.
