I work at the Old Greer County Museum & Hall of Fame, Inc. in Mangum, Oklahoma. We have much info on the Blaylock Colony folks. I recently received the letters that were sent from Sarah Ann Taylor Gorham to her husband and sons at Chamal during the time that he stayed in the Colony and she resided in the states. This was because of the Mexican Revolution. These letters are priceless for the Gorham and Everett families. Sarah Ann and some of the other 14 children had to stay in Slidell, Texas for several years. Franklin Pierce Gorham was killed in Chamal in 1919. Sarah returned to Chamal in 1921. I am attempting to transcribe the letters. The family of the Gorhams are dedicating a monument to Franklin and Sarah here at the Hall of Fame soon. The monument will tell of their Blaylock adventures.
