Shawnee Tate was a CREEK INDIAN from Edna/Beggs Oklahoma. He moved to Bakersfield with many other Creeks in the 1940's. I have read previously on this thread that he may have some children living in the Bakersfield area today. His mother was an original allottee. Stella McNack was her name. Shawnee Tate passed away in Bakersfield in 1997. If anyone out there knows of his descendants please contact me. Mvto!
