I read in the messages about a Susan Strickland that was married to a Judge Johnston, in Potontoc County, Indian Territory. I have been trying to trace my heritage and had been told that my father was an Indian, but can find nothing. He was Samuel James Stafford b. 1914 his parents were James Mallory Stafford and Melvine Chancey. Melvine's mother was Isabella Strickland. If anyone has any info please e-mail me.
