My great(x5)-grandfather is James Adair born 1709 in Ireland. He resided with the Chickasaw tribe for over ten years beginning around 1744 and was a famous Indian trader, who wrote History of the American Indians. He had a son, John Adair during the time he resided with the Chickasaw, however, the mother was never named. I am inquiring if a Chickasaw maiden was the mother and if there are any Chickasaw records for birth.
