Thanks, Donna,
I have read the Dawes testimony on Wallace Thursday's case. He was denied enrollment though he was in census records recorded as "Indian" for 1900, 1910, 1920. Census also says he was born in Indian Territory/Oklahoma so perhaps that's where they met.
I have also heard that Nancy Lee Thursday's people came from the Pawhuska,OK area but have had no luck in tracking her down. To my knowledge, her only husband was a William Stinnett. If family oral history is true, she would be my second great-grandmother. I have a picture of her which would lead one to believe she is of Native descent, but it could also have been taken in a studio that provided costumes.
Thanks for the offer of help. If you ever run into anyone named Thursday, just put them in touch with me. ;-)
