I hope this reaches you. My grandfather, Clarence Hitchcock Newton, served as a missionary with your grandfather on Hainan. I am currently transcribing his 1917 diary, and on 8 April 1917 he baptized Mary Elizabeth Shannon, JV and Grace Shannon's daughter.

I saw your post of 11-3-2003 for photo's of Shacklett's. you mention Susan Easton Shacklett she is in my line of Shacklett's also. Her photo is posted on my tree. I have my tree under Howard Blantley Shacklett with alot of photo's check it out. I'm researching Howard do you have any info on him ? The time frame I'm working on is 1921-1925 he was married and divorced and had children. His wife name and children names is what I'm looking for. Howard is from the John and Mary Ward Shacklett which most of us Shacklett's are from. Howard's parent's were James W. Shacklett Lil or Lillian Johnson Shacklett all from Gorin, Scotland County, Missouri thank you in advance.

Hi, we are cousins...my family is from my great grandmother Helen Dean Harper. I have pictures of Pinkney and Nettie on the front porch of the Chieftian Home place...tin types also.
We use to stop and visit the Dean cousins in Tulsa, OK on our was to Georgia....route 66...then South to Cave Spring.

William Marshall Gallaher MD was my grandfather. I am the third daughter of his son Paul Clark Gallaher and I grew up a few blocks from Granddaddy Gallaher. I have the orginal certificate of his completion in 1909 of the course of specialist from the Chicago Eye, Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital which I understood (maybe true, maybe not) was incorporated into Northwestern University Medical School, where both of his sons graduated in the 1920s and 30s. Not incidentally, I graduated from Northwestern (BA) in 1968 and my son Ralph Emmett Maurer (WMG, MD's great grandson) graduated in 1998.

I have lots of additional information if anyone wants it.

I was wondering if someone has copies of his casework from when he was an attorney in McClain county, Oklahoma? His firm Glasco and Osborne represented my gggrandfather William/Will/Bill Chambers who killed his wife on March 9, 1914 in Rosedale, OK. I would like to have copies of what happened with the case and also to see if it says where my gggrandmother is buried. Her name was Ellen Chambers maiden name Mingus.
What name does Osborne stand for?

I just found this message today while looking for information regarding the "Oleson" family from Chandler. My father was a cousin to AC and HC. He was born in Chandler to Floyd and Roxie Morris. Roxie was Elsie Frisbee's sister. I also live in Texas (Salado). I use to go to Tin Cup with my parents to Elsie's cabin. Are you familiar with it? Charles is in 1910 census with Aunt Grace Reitz, KC, KS Bit remarried in 1918 I believe it to be Alice Bowles and have two more children plus Charles in 1920 census in KS

Hi Carole,

Judge Griffitts married my great aunt, Grace A. Pennington. Of interest is that she was a descendant of Hannah Boone, Daniel Boone's youngest sister. I have photos of Joseph's, Nora's, Grace's and Josephine's grave markers. Josephine was only eight years old when her mother died and both of them were buried at the Evergreen Cemetery near Oakwood. Why were they not buried in Buffalo? Were Joseph and Grace divorced? I have a little information on their children and a lot on the Penningtons, if interested.

Thank You for posting this!! Judge Harper's daughter, Annabel, was my Great Grandmother ... not by blood, but by marriage to my Great Grandfather Robert H. Bennett, she's the only Great Grandmother I ever knew! My mom had told me that her father was some kind of Judge or somebody VERY important to Oklahoma .. and I've just now started looking for information on her lines, even tho she's not a blood relative ... she was 'Baba' none the less and a very important part of our family!

I think that the Emma Endres you have listed is relation to my great of gr-great grandfather. The area is correct and the date frame seems to be around that time, I not sure because I never had a lot of info or her before. But do you know if she had a brother Nathan which would be my g-g and his father was Conrad?

Lillie McClure was the daughter of John H. McClure,who was the son of My GGGrandfather John H. McClure Sr. I have been searching this line of my family and just went to Poteau to see the Woodson house and to search John H. line. Next week I am going to Page Ok in hopes to find more. E.E. Glasco's grandparents were John E. Glasco and Delila J. Greer. John was born in IL in 1825 (most likely in White County) and Delila was born in TN in 1828. They had 14 children together. John's parents were listed as being born in NC on the 1900 Census (IL, Jefferson County, Spring Garden Township, Ina Village). John and Delila were buried in Kirk Cemetery in Spring Garden, IL. I can't seem to figure out who John's parents were. No Glasco's older than than John or Delila were buried at Kirk Cemetery. If anyone knows anything about John E. Glasco and who his parents might be. Please let me know. I do not think he was the son of Lemuel as some would seem to suggest. I have come to a roadblock. According the article written about E.E. Glasco, some of his ancestry has been traced back to South Carolina before the Revolution in America.

Please help if you know anything.

One of the Charles A. Glasco's that I know of was born in 1857, White County, IL and was married to Mary C. Harrison on 4 Jul 1873, White County, IL. His parents were Lemuel Glasco and Mary Hobson. Lemuel was born in either North Carolina or Tennessee. Let me know if this may be your Charles. I can give you more information beyond this.

My grandfater was Leo (Lee) Watts, his brother was Dillard Watts.Their Father was Josiah Watts,b 1-18-1824, d 3-30-1895. Dillard Watts is buried in the Laverne, Ok. Cemetery. My great grandfather was Clarence Perry Glasco who married Dona Tool. They had three children. The son was known as G.W. (named for his grandfather George Washington Tool), Josephine (my grandmother) and Letha. He was a wheat farmer in Texas and Oklahoma. According to the family he had a brother named Elvis. His parents were Thomas and Martha. I think we may be related. I would appreciate any information you can give me on the family.

Many of his old records were moved to basement of his home after his clinic was sold to LeFlore County for office space(Election Board). When his home was sold all files were destroyed. Have you treied Bureau of Vital Statistics for birth records?

Many of my family members were treated by Dr. Woodson during the early 1900's. I have went to see his old home a few years ago. My question is this: where did he store all of his old records? Many doctors left them in boxes, crates etc. in their basements, cellars, attics and so forth. Especially those that worked out of their homes in the earlier years of their practice. Does anybody know? I would like to do a couple of lookups pertaining to the births of several family members that didn't have birth certificates because they were never recorded.

Thomas Shacklett is the brother of my Great-Grandmother, Eunice Eliza Shacklett. I am trying to collect pictures of as many of my ancestors as possible. I have a photo from 1915 of Thomas' mother, Susan (Easton) Shacklett and am willing to share it with whomever is interested. I saw the marriage of yourgrandparents posted on the "Early Illinois Marriages" web site. there were lots of Glascoes in IL by that time. My g-g-grandfather was Charles a. Glasco born 1853 in KY. I can't find his parents' names either, but the 1880 Census states they were born in KY and he was born in IL. Family lore says Charles' mother was Native American. Was anyone in your family? I am a relative of Dillard Watts. His sister Ada Watts, B. 3/29/1861 in Stillwell KS was my great grandmother. I have the Watts/Harbeson Family Bible that is dated 1851. I would be interested if you had any further information on the Watts.

My father is James Clifford Ferguson, born April 18, 1918 in Pawhuska, OK.. His parents were Frederick Leo Ferguson and Carrie Alice Wilson. Frederick was the son of James Casper Ferguson and Mary Letitia Waddell.

It has been my experience that these darned Fergusons are a silent lot, and I have learned more about my GG father here than anything my father ever told me. Thanks for this work.

Dear Sir, sorry to bother you but my g, grandfather was a Daniel W. Peery b-2/12/1891 in MO. d-8/28/1961 we have no record of parents on his death records I have marriage license and such but nothing on birth parents. My grandfather Oliver Perry was his son and he had 1 daughter Norma Peery the spelling on the names are correct my grandfather had been adopted out and didn't find out his birth parents till his 19 or 21 birthday. My Daniel is supposed to also be adopted is what my grandfather stated anyways. Daniel was married to a Eva May Dodson till she died than married Marie Watson. Any info would be nice.
