I am looking for information on Chessie Stroud's family before she married Joseph P. Roper. All I can find is a date for her birth and that it is in Oklahoma. I know that after she married Joe Roper, that they lived in Washita county before moving out to California. After my grandmother Sybil Cross died (Chessie's daughter) my mother said slowly the family lost touch with the Roper's. My mother remembers that Chessie had a brother that they called "Doc" Stroud, married to a Julia, but that she did not think that Doc was his real name but more of a nickname. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
