Polly was my great grandmother. I have my great grandfather's (S.M. Davis) family Bible page with her information. He spelled her name Sutterfield with a "u", and it is spelled that way in the 1900 census. Her given name was Mary A. Sutterfield/Satterfield, born 25 June 1884 in Arkansas, probably Searcy Co. Bervena apparently died when she was very young, probably by 1888. After Bervena's death, Polly went to live with George and Margaret (McClung) Parker in Washita Co., OK. She married Shellie Mack Davis there 23 June 1901, and my grandmother (her only child) Rovena Marguerite Davis, was born 15 Sep 1902 in Washita Co. Polly died 5 Oct 1905 and was buried in the Texmo cemetery, supposedly now the Dewey cemetery now in Roger Mills Co., OK. My grandmother Rovena married Wilbur Story Perry in Spur, TX in 1921, and my dad was born in 1922.
