Looking for information regarding the death of Belle and/or Robert Onan in Tulsa and subsequent remarriage of Harry Onan to a Josephine (possibly Howe). Also any information regarding either a death or marriage of Helen Onan. All this would have happened between 1920 and 1930. Thank you.

According to NewsVoyager, Mabelle's obit appeared in Tulsa World and The Oklahoman on Feb. 27, 2004.

Per an unverified source, I have been told that George Prentiss HARDING died 05 Sep 1953 in Tulsa Co OK.

Because I can't find his family in any state in 1910 and Oklahoma is so strict about their birth and death records, an obituary is probably the only way I can get some facts
to work with.........especially any surviving kinfolk.

His father was Clyde H. HARDING who 1m Ella [CHALK] about 1899. The 1900 Osage Nation, OK Territory census shows them living with her father and siblings, married 1 year and had no children.

However, in 1910 there is a child "Orval CHALK age 08 born OK and both parents born in TX" listed as the grandson of John Whitfield CHALK, Ella's father. I am convinced that Orval's last was actually HARDING and that he was Ella and Clyde's son.

I have searched the 1910 census index in every state and every way I can think of but I cannot find Clyde and/or his family. This census is so critical because I am feel certain Ella had died and that Clyde married "Eva" abt 1904, but I have nothing to prove it.

On Clyde's WWI draft registration 12 Sep 1918 Osage Co OK, he names Eva as his wife and per the 1920 census there were 4 children born between 1905 and 1917 and their mother's birthplace is Missouri - the same as Eva's.

Samuel Grover Cleveland Sanders was born Jan. 6, 1886 in Carroll County, Arkansas. His parents were James Humphrey Sanders and Keziah K. Burton. He appears with his parents (as Grover C. Sanders) on the 1900 census in Exeter, Barry County, Missouri.
In 1907, he married Belle Wilson in Carroll County, Arkansas. He is using the name Cleveland Sanders.
In 1910 he (still Cleveland) is on the Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma census with Belle and his older brother Edward Sanders is nearby.
Then they disappear.
Edward reappears in 1937 - - he died and was buried in the Red Fork Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
But I can't find when or where Cleveland died. I would really like to get my hands on his death certificate. It is my understanding that in Oklahoma I must know the date and place of death to apply for a death certificate. Any suggestions??

Notes by submitter: Burt's father was WILLIAM F. KELTS who went by name WILL KELTS. Will was son of HORACE KELTS and CATHARINE SCRANTON who were married ca. 1853, probably in Westfield, Tioga Co., PA. HORACE KELTS was a son of JOHN KELTS and ABIGAIL BUTTON of Richmond Twp., Tioga Co., PA

John Kaiser was the son of Solomon and Ellen Grey. He was born abt 1860 in Iowa. I am not sure of his wife's name but they had the following children. Solomom, born abt 1883. Next was John, Hettie, Lillie, Jesse, Robert, Ollie, Charles, and finally Claude who was born abt 1908. I find the family in the 1900 and 1910 Ok. census. In the 1900 census they are living in the Indain Territory, Cherokee Nation (I'm not sure what part of Ok that is) and in the 1910 census they are living in Dawson, Tulsa County, Ok. Have info on John's father's brothers & sister. Would love to share info.

Great Depression Years
In 1926, and during the great depression, L.R. Kershaw, a Muskogee, Oklahoma business man became the receiver of 13 National Banks. These banks had failed because of the depression. The Exchange National Bank of Tulsa, Oklahoma was one of those banks.

Reorganized
June 14, 1933, after the depression, the Exchange National Bank of Tulsa merged into the National Bank of Tulsa.

February 10, 1992, the National Bank of Tulsa changed its name to Bank of Oklahoma, National Association.

I found Williams (WII) Draft Reg Card showing him working as Fireman (Tulsa Oil Co) & mentions a brother to William by the name of Jay W. Carter I found him on the 1910 census in CA.

Lovie May Turner dates are 1899 OK - 1968 CA her parents are John W. Turner & Ella Luttrell

Ralph Roddy passed away December 24, 2007 in Houston TX. He had been fighting cancer for the last five years and finally succumbed to the adverse side-effects of his stem cell therapy. When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. There are 45 families from Oklahoma that have not been located. There are three families from Tulsa County that has not been located.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (77 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find these families. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating these families.

I am helping to locate descendants of men who served in the Constitutional Convention of Oklahoma in 1907. A delegate named William Thomas Dalton was one of them. He died in Broken Arrow, 193.

He had sons Carl W. Dalton, Ralph R.Dalton, and Clarence Dalton. A Carl Dalton died in Broken Arrow August 1970.

We want to invite his descendants to an event to honor their ancestor for Oklahoma's Centennial.

Willard Leroy Henney passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his family on August 16, 2007. He was born on March 16, 1924 in Bixby, Okla..

Son of William J. Henney and Bessie Estella Shellenbarger, he moved to the Rogue Valley in 1938 where Leroy met his future wife, Elsie Sabina Saunders, and they married on July 26, 1942 at Central Avenue Church of Christ which is now Rogue Valley Christian Church. Leroy and Elsie made their home in the Rogue Valley for most of their 65 years of marriage. Besides his wife, survivors include his children, Charles David Henney, (Georgia), Alfred John Henney (Jill), Ruth Ann Miller, Lois Jeanette Springer (Daniel), and Ralph Leroy Henney (Cindy), 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, brother, Richard Paul Henney, and sister, Grace Novian. Preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Trim, Nellie Jean Weide and brother, Mildren Henney.

Leroy was an active member of The Rogue Valley Christian Church, where he had served as an Elder for over 40 years. He was a member of several organizations; Disabled American Veteran; the Governor appointed Electrician Apprentice Commission and Carpenter Union Association. He attended OIT where he served as Student Body President.

Leroy is a veteran of the Pacific Theater during World War II where he received numerous medals including a Purple Heart while serving as Army Platoon Sergeant of the 7th Inf. Div. 45.

He was proprietor of A-1 Radio and TV Service for 35 years on North Central Avenue in Medford, Ore.. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially tying flies for fly fishing, photography, candle making, and huckleberry picking.

Services will be held at Rogue Valley Christian Church at 1440 S. Oakdale Ave, Medford, Ore., Monday, 11:00 a.m., August 20, 2007. Interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rogue Valley Christian Church Missions Fund at 1440 S. Oakdale Ave., Medford, Ore., 97501 or Parkinson's Foundation.

Rachel was born in early in 1904 in Missouri, probably in or near Joplin.

Her father, Hugh Dyer, was born in 1834 in Scotland and was 70 years old when Rachel was born.

Her mother, Elenor (aka Nellie) was born in Missouri about 1856.

Rachel's father, Hugh, is my great-great-grandfather.

Rachel married James H Davis in Tulsa on 27 Jun 1925.

In the 1930 census, Rachel is living in Tulsa with her husband, James H Davis, who was born in Nebraska and her mother who's name is given as 'Lora'.

There is a SSDI for a Rachel Davis who might be the Rachel I am looking for. That record gives date of birth as 4 March 1904, and date of death as November 1966 and last residence as Tulsa, Osage, Oklahoma 74127.

Any information, or ideas about where to look next, would be greatly appreciated.
