The only other material that I have found on your father were some photographs on line that I believe you posted.
Based on my fifty years of
McClurg Family Research , I have more than an educated guess as to the branch of McClurgs David
Newton McClurg descends from. However, since the 1890 Census of the US was destroyed and we don't have this census, making connections to bridge the gap from 1880 to present day presents a problem.
I plan to attend the
McClurg Family Reunion at Claremore, OK in June if they have one. With the passing of Thomas
McClurg this past year, I do not know if the reunions will continue. I will be notified if they hold one this year.
I have needs of visiting
Woodland Cemetery at Sand
Springs as the cemetery has not been fully canvased on line. Also I have need to Visit
Sulphur, OK to visit the cemetery looking for David
McClurg b. 1845,
Ohio. reported buried there.
Making lineage connections for this time period for
McClurg is very difficult and making field trips to an area is the only way I have found to be successful if success is possible.
Win some, lose some, Wish me good luck.
