I am interested in connecting William COVINGTON, b. 1842, d. 1920, and his son, John COVINGTON, to my greatgrandmother, Amanda Lee COVINGTON. Both were born in Georgia, as she was. Both appear in the census of Stephens County, OK in 1920, living in the same household.

My greatgrandmother, Amanda Lee COVINGTON, married Dr. James Bennett McBRIDE, somewhere in Indian Territory in 1894 or thereabouts. The family relocated to Hale County, TX around the early 1920s. Amanda died in Hale County, TX in 1930, and is buried in Abernathy.
