Jim,
Ah, I do know who your mother is. I hope she is doing well.
I attended Uncle John's funeral in Duncan with my folks and my Papa (Joe B.)......and took a pic of my Papa there, one of my favorites of him, so handsome in his boots and Stetson.
Thank you for the invitation.....I'm truly grateful. I am new to this.....I've always had a passion for genealogy and especially since the passing of my sweet Dad, Joe Don. Unfortunately, of my 4 grandparents, my Papa Joe's lineage is where I'm weakest.
We visited Uncle John and Aunt Annie quite often in Duncan, OK...but due to my Dad being the youngest of much older parents, there simply wasn't much time for exposure. My Papa was a rather stoic, quiet man....he and my grandmother moved down the street from us in Anadarko, OK when I was 4.....he simply didn't talk much but he was a jewel of a man, a godly man.
Please give your regards to your mother.....I know my mother spoke with her around or at my Dad's passing.....we are all still missing him but know God's plan is eminent.
I will try my hand at locating your tree. I've posted my Dad's listing on FindAGrave.com.....please take a look and if you're close, please share with your mom......just search Joe Don Allgood in Anadarko, OK and you'll find it!
Warmest regards,
Kim
