Randy,
I just saw your message. I do know that my husband's grandfather, Thomas Albert Quick went to Oklahoma with Martin. Thomas married in Duncan, Oklahoma in 1906. I assume that is where Martin was, also. Tom and Frances made several trips back and forth moving to Texas, then back to Oklahoma.
It is a possible that the move might have been about their Indian heritage. Mr. Quick, Tom, used to tell me that he was 1/16 Cherokee Indian, and so am I. He looked more like an Indian than me.. A grandson of Tom went to Oklahoma searching for a roll number and was not successful, but, later, he did find a roll number in Fort Worth Archives. Or so he told us. I never did know much about that, and we haven't found out what the number was. He is now deceased.
