Classification: Query
Surnames: Anderson, Finn, Young, Trammell
They were my great grandparents. They farmed and ranched in the Sycamore area of Vian for many years. They lived at what my family still calls "The Old Home Place" not far from the old entrance to the Vian Garden of Memories Cemetary. Several Anderson families still live on that road I believe, the house had a tall rock foundation but burned down back in the 80's. Family stories say that Dick once killed a man and spent time in prison for it.
Family stories also say that Lizzie was born in 1878 in Oxford, Mississippi to Micheal Finn, an Irish immigrant, somehow he died when she was little and she ended up in Vian IT when she was still just a young girl. I have found no mention of her mother except that her name might have been Mary or Elizabeth. I cannot locate any records for Lizzie's parents at all.
Any of this ringing any bells? If so please email me, I'd love to hear from you, even if you only have a tidbit to share...
Thanks in advance,
MH
