Frank E. Batchelor was born July 17, 1905 at Woodward, Oklahoma the son of Lonzo and Fannie Batchelor. At the age of five years the family moved to the Meadow Brook Community where he grew to manhood.
He married Erma Hooten January 12, 1928, at Sayre, Oklahoma. To this union two sons were born, Buddy of Elk City, Oklahoma and Donnie of Lexington, Oklahoma.
He had been self employed in Elk City since 1963 after moving there from Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Frank passed away December 23, 1971, after a long illness. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Besides his family he leaves a daughter-in-law, Margie
Batchelor and four grandchildren, Jeff, Janie, Joi, and Jim of El Reno, Oklahoma. One brother W.H. (Bill) Batchelor of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and four sisters, Mary Short of Woodward, Oklahoma, Myrtled McClune of Leavenworth, Kansas, Jennie King and Irma Haven of Reydon, Oklahoma.
His parents, one brother, Lonnie, and one sister, Minnie
Dare, preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Frank King, Lonnie J. Haven, Charles Batchelor, Lonnier Batchelor, Lester Blann, Ranson Haven.
Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery with Scroggins and Son in charge of arrangements.
