Roy William Eggen was born July 5th, 1895 at Matfield Green, Kansas and departed this life December 24th, 1947. When a small child he moved to Crescent, Oklahoma, and made his home with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Wright where he grew to manhoods. He united with the Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas when young. He was married to Octa Tyra at Archer City, Texas August 13, 1925. They moved to the Reydon community in 1939 where they made their home. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Octa Eggen, two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Scrivner of Reydon and Mrs. Elsie Mae Sapp of San Dimas, California; three grand children, James Roy aand Tommy Joe Scrivner and Mickey Jean Sapp; two brothers, Henry Eggen and Fred Ross of El Stringer, New Mexico; two uncles, Hoy Wright of Reydon, Ace Wright of ot Springs, New Mexico, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Commital was made in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Rogewr Mills County, Oklahoma with the Fatheree Funeral Home in charge.
Funeraql services were conducted Friday, December 26, 1947 at the Community Building by Rev. Charles Simpson of Shattuck.
