Nancy the fire took place in Denison, Texas on February the 3, 1889. They are all three buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Denison. They had a 3 year old son Grover Cleveland Kelly. Do you now why he survived the fire?

I May have been misinformed and have my info wrong.but my understanding from family and sources,Hiram and Martha was first cousins. Martha mother Martha Jane cooper is my great great grand father Thomas Sterling Coopers sister.Hiram father was Thomas s,coopers brother.Jessie Cooper and Anna Hosey were their Parents.So my understanding both sets or related. Hoseys and coopers migrated from other parts.some staying and others settling. in the long haul they are all related but distantly blood connected.i never heard of German blood line. Irish and Indian mostly. that's what i grew up understanding.and cooper has always been cooper.amazing at what you find out later. that is why i love history.i have been researching since i was a kid,and now i am 58 and still learning.would like more inf.jenkinspj@yahoo.com my name is Pam cooper.

I am not related. . .very confusing family. Your family is from the Chickasaw Tribe. Find that Catherine Jackson was 1st married to Joseph Pirtle from Lamar Co TX then to John C Jackson from TN. Can't figure out who her parents were.

Henry "Fillmore" appears to be her half brother and she had to have a sister that married a Berry because I don't think George Berry, Ben H Fillmore, Naomi Ruth and Patsy Sue had the same mother.

I think James Lovelady is my great grandfather. My
grandfather's name is Walter Lovelady and my grandmother's
name is Ada Lovelady. I remember my Mother saying that
there was a school named Lovelady after her grandfather.
She said that James Lovelady's wife was half indian. She
was left on the porch of James Lovelady's neighbor and
they raised her. James married her. My mother's cousin
was a minister in Ada, Walter Lovelady. I believe that
Luther is my grandfather's brother and he lived in Arizona
I remember going with my grandfather in 1951 and met him.
I am told that that courthouse burned down and we are unable
to prove what indian tribe we are from. I would appreciate
learning more about the family!

Also an obituary for her husband, George Carlton Brill, b. 27 Jul 1891, d. 30 Apr 1973.

Both are buried in the Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.

I don't believe I can provide support regarding the location of the three Ward's, but I also a Ward. I was born in 1962 in Oklahoma City. According to my mother (adopted), I had two or three brothers and two sisters. BTW, both my twin sister and I were adopted. We lived in an orphanage (Oklahoma City) for approximately two years before being adopted.

Anyway, if I find any relevant information to help. I'll let you know.

Wood was the last name.....I have Abraham Lincoln Wood (born 10/10/1868) married Lara Etta Kindreck (born June 1879).

Lara Etta Wood (died 07/12/1909) is buried in Indahoma, OK. Abraham L. Wood (died 07/30/1926) and is buried in Purdy (Garvin county), OK.

Wood county is a long way from Garvin County. Garvin county was in Indian Territory. You didn't give any names in your inquiry nor did you really specify what you are looking for. Please give some specifics.

Most are buried in Garvin county, but it has been said that the homestead is in Indian territory and wood county is named after the family. Any help is greatly appreciated. CHARLES KELLEY

Charles Kelley, 917 North Bluff, died Thursday in a local nursing home. He had been in ill health for 15 years. A life-time resident of Ada, Mr. Kelley was born in Pototoc County, July 7, 1902 to Newton Kelley and Martha Cole Kelley. He was a Baptist.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hoffman, Ada, Mrs. Mintie Kimbrough, and Mrs. Compton, Tishomingo; and a brother, Oliver Kelley, Ada.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home. Rev. James Park will officiate. Interment will be in Connerville Cemetery.

Mrs. Annie E. Price, known as Grandma Price, passed away at her home in west Maud after a brief illness Tuesday night. She has been sick only a few days. She was 68 years old and had lived in Maud for a number of years.

She was the widow of J. F Price who died at Maud at few months ago. She leaves a sister Mrs. S. A. Ryan of Maud and one brother E. N. Kelley who lives near Stonewall, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church 3 p.m. Wednesday, REV. A. L. Goodwin officiating, burial at Cummings Cemetery.

I found at our genealogy library today the death record for E. N. Kelley who died June 3, 1929 and was buried June 4, 1929.
He died at 909 El 14th, Connerville, Oklahoma.
He was born June 25, 1853 in Tennessee.
He was a widower and died of heart failure.
He was buried at Connerville Cemetery.
Since his wife died before he did, I am going to assume she is buried in that cemetery and he is buried next to her. Criswell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Hooky Miller killed Hendrix at the Corner Saloon. He was taken to Ada and buried at Rosedale and has a nice marker. Later Bobbitt was in a court case where he was trying to get the widow Hendrix's land.

Yes, I did leave a message at find a grave. The Chickasaw Nation sent me a list of people buried at Cravatt Cemetery, but not sure this is really the correct one. If it is, I have been there (in Bromide?). Allen Cravatt and wife,
Katie, are there. Allen was my great great grandfather's uncle. (My 3rd great?) Katie was not on this list, but she's buried next to Allen. Is there another Cravatt cemetery? Thanks for your reply.

The Family of Forbus Cravatt is in Sealy Chapel Cemetery off Highway 99, exit about 1 mile North of Connerville OK. Go East about two miles, turn south at sign about 1/4 mile. If there is another cemetery of Cravatt's I would like the information too. I live about 23 miles from the Sealy Cemetery.

William Carroll French B: May 1843 appears in the 1910 Census of Midland, [Pontotoc Co.], OK (age 67). He does NOT appear in 1920, so he probably died after 1910. My request to OK-Vital records searched ALL counties 1915-1925 and found no results.

He is most likely buried in Pontotoc county; is there a historical society that has surveyed cemeteries there? How is the best way to find him?
