Clyde Harlan
Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Harlan, 80, 1102 East Greenlee, will be held at 10:30 a.m. October 26, in the Memory Chapel of the Fairley-Hackler Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Hase, pastor of the Redeemer Lutheran Church as the officiant. Interment will be conducted at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Fairley-Hackler Funeral Home.
A native of Kansas, Mr. Harlan was born February 11, 1901 at Madison, the son of the late Sherman and Viola Harlan.
He came to Cushing in 1914 where he worked for Deep Rock and later operated a cafe.
He was married to Arabel King on September 30, 1946 at Winfield, Kansas.
Mr. Harlan died Wednesday morning at Cushing Municipal Hospital following an extended illness.
Those surviving include his wife, Arabel Harlan; one son, Clyde S. Harlan of Cool, California; one daughter, Mrs. Shirley Hope of California; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dorotha Phillips of Germany; four sisters, Maude Shaver of Cushing, Sadie Leonard of California, Gladys France and Eva Wilmarth, both of West Covin, California, and several grandchildren.
