Hello,

I am the new archivist for the Osage County Archives and Osage Nations Archives on GenWeb. I am looking for information to put online. If you have any records or information pertaining to folks in Osage County or the Osage Nation, please contact me at sharkay@swbell.net. I would be delighted to put your information online. For types of information that I am looking for check out the Osage County Archives at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/osage/osage.htm

The Osage Nation Archives is found at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/nations/osage/index.htm

I was looking through all the queries in this section and would like to have the answer to everyone's question. The only way to do that is to get hold of all the information possible about Osage County and Osage Nation and its people. Please share what you already know!

Thank you so very much for the old photos of Osage City. They bring back many happy memories of my childhood, when my parents went to visit our Herr and Gill families there.
Kindest Regards, Neva

Suggest you send for military records. Sometimes they have a lot of info.

Also suggest you send for (or if you have access to microfilm reader, you can look it up) the Indian Rolls you mention. They also sometimes have a great deal of info and you may be able to prove who is who or rule them out.

I'm not related and unsure but "think" this might
be your family.

Floyd O. Ramey~Mae Burtz
6-15-1935 Okmulgee county, Ok.
MLI-27-00031

This is the only Cannie Burtz I can find.
1920 Broken Arrow, Tulsa county, Ok.
WALKER
J.C. 61
Louella 52 Mx2 SC SC SC
BURTZ
Enoch 28 SC
Ed 22 "
Mattie 20 "
Cannie 17 "
Homer 13 "

Park Grove cemetery in Broken Arrow

Cannie Burtz 18 b. SC d. Dec. 16, 1920 C 17 2-3
R.M.Burtz 52 SC Nov. 12, 1914 C 17 2-5
Louella Walker 89 SC July 7, 1956 C 17 2-4

I found this family back to 1900 Pickens county, SC.
Louella Walker widowed is in 1930 Sapulpa, Creek co,
Ok. with her granddaughter, May BURTS 9.

Only you can determine if they might be yours.
