I am looking for any information on a R.M. Been. The little bit of information I have says he was a preacher. In 1912 my GGreat Grandparents Lee Jackson Pound(s) and wife Geney died. Lee was a County Constable for Okmulgee county. Lee's son inlaw and wife died a couple of weeks before him and so they left behind several children. The probate records show R.M. Been took custody of the children. I am trying to find why he took the children instead of Lee's brother William Perry Pound who lived in Henryetta. Maybe R.M. Been was in the family??? R.M. later married my GGrandmother Ire Etta to my GGrandfather Robert Lee McCoy there in Okmulgee. Robert Lee McCoy's mother was a Bean and I am trying to see if there is a connection to those Beans or to the Pound(s). Any information would be greatly appreciated.
