Good morning all. My great-grandparents and grandparents lived in Henryetta. Sometime about 1929/1930 my grandmother gave birth to a stillborn child that had been full-term. This was 3-4 years before my father was born and he has always wondered where the baby was buried. His mother would apparently never talk about it (she gave a few details to my mother before her death in 1960, but not enough to indicate where/if the baby was buried). So my questions are this - does anyone know who the town's dr was in 1929/1930? The baby was born at their home, delivered by the town dr (the story goes he was drunk & the cord was wrapped around the baby's neck and he was too incapacitated to deal with it - I've heard this story 3rd and 4th hand and have no way to verify it, so I am NOT purposely defaming the dr) . Would a stillbirth have been recorded with a death certificate and if so, would the place of burial have been noted anywhere? My fear is perhaps the dr just took the baby away and disposed of it somehow as was often the practice early in the century. Any info or suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm taking a road trip with my dad up to Henryetta next month to visit his grandparents graves and he was wondering if there was any way to find his brother's grave - he hasn't been to Henryetta since the 60's. If it matters/helps any - my grandparents were Lewis Nathan and Isabel Moss Johnson McMahon (sometimes spelt McMahan) and my great grandparents were Edward Mackey Johnson and Anna Moss Johnson (known as Mossie). Thanks! Julie McMahon Stackable in Las Vegas....
