I am not familiar with James Wyatt or Leonidas Auld. I have a James Wesley Auld listed and I know there has been some discussion about whether Wesley is right. Don't know if this might be yours. He was son of Elijah Michael Auld, a Brother of my John Henry. I have been in touch with Timothy Hudson several times also. He has a lot of Auld info. I got a lot of information also from V.L. Auld in Louisiana. He has written a book on this line. He sent me a lot of information but I have found a couple of things I disagree with.

I have Eugenia in the 1880 census in Montague co TX with her Father John Henry and I have a copy of her marriage license to Lee J. Pound in 1892 in Montague co.

I have information from someone else that John Henry had a daughter named G.V. (Fannie) and another daughter named Eugenia. I believe that Fannie was just Fannie, not G. V.
I believe G.V. and Eugenia(Genie) were the same person. Lee Pound was supposed to have married both daughters, I do not agree with this. I have found Fannie in the 1870 census and that is the only place. I believe she died young because she was not in the 1880 census and I have never found a marriage for her. When John Henry died, his kids (or grandkids) inherited land in Montague co. In 1903 almost all of them sold that land to Holley Prater who was married to Mahala Catherine Auld. L.J. Pound and his wife G.V.(note the G.V.) signed the paperwork to sell her inherited land. On their marriage license it shows Genie. So... I believe G.V., Genie and Eugenia are the same.

I am still looking for more proof and more info on any of John Henry's descendents.

Timothy Hudson did tell me that 2 of John Henry's nephews came with him to Texas in the mid to late 1860's. They were all in Van Zandt Co TX in 1870.

If you EVER FIND John Henry in the 1860 census, PLEASE let me know. I have searched and searched for that.

My line is Isham Johnston Auld, son of john Henry Auld. John Henry was son of John Fields Auld and he was son of Michael Piper Auld, son of James. With each Father listed I pretty much have names of their kids. Might be missing a few of course. I really haven't gathered anything past those kids. Except I have more on John Henry Auld's descendents. Still trying to fill in some blanks there too.

Jo

Hi Jo,

Thanks for the info. I have you pretty well placed now.

James Wyatt was the son of James Alexander Auld, brother to John Henry Auld.

G. V. Fannie Auld is Frances G. V. Auld. Another daughter of John Henry Auld born in 1868. Eugenia was born in 1873 according to my info. (I could certainly be wrong since my info is largely undocumented.)

If you like, I could prepare and send to you a Gedcom file on the Aulds as I have them. I can also send a Gedcom file reader with it to facilitate viewing the data. Else you could just import it into your Family Tree Maker or other program that you use. (I use Family Tree Maker 2009 and find it to be a wondrous program but one that takes lots of getting used to to use effectively.) Just say the word on the Gedcom file and it might be better to send me your primary Email address so that you can load it immediately into a directory in your hard drive. It just takes a few minutes to put one together.

Maybe I have it backwards on Fannie and G.V. I have Fannie as born abt 1868 and Eugenia 1873. In the 1910 census, Lee Pounds wife is age 31, age at marriage 17. None of this fits exactly, but seems to be closer to Eugenia that Fannie. Fannie is 2 in the 1870 census and is not in the census for 1880. The marriage license says Genie. That really could be either G.V. Or Eugenia. Just going by dates I thought it was closer to Eugenia. And as I said earlier, in 1903 G.V. and Lee Pound sold her inherited land. Sure would like to find some positive proof.

I would love a GEDCOM file, and I have a program to read it.

Thanks
