Funeral services for Charles W. "Dub" Hathcoat, 56, of Salina who died Tuesday, January 30, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa were held Friday, February 2 at Benjamin Funeral Chapel with Billy Hicks officiating. Interment followed at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.

Dub was born July 26, 1944 in Nowata, the son of Woodrow W and Nell Kuykendall Hathcoat. He grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata High School in 1962. He attended NEO A & M at Miami. Dub was a superintendent for PKS, Inc. Construction Company for 15 years before his retirement. He lived in several locations in Texas and Oklahoma while following his work.

Dub was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his son, Edward Hathcoat and his wife, Tina of Broken Arrow; two grandchildren: Austin Wing and Ethan Hathcoat, both of Broken Arrow and his mother, Nell Hathcoat of Nowata; two brothers: Roger Hathcoat of Nowata and Tom Hathcoat and his wife, Jackie of Broken Arrow; three nephews: Nathan and Brent Hathcoat, both of Nowata and Barry Hathcoat of Broken Arrow also a niece, Kelly Chesbrough of Tulsa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow W. Hathcoat.

I don't know if you posted this obit as a kindness or if you know the family. Either way, I thank you so very much as "Dubbie" was my 1st cousin in fact, I gave him the nickname when we were very small. I live in WA. state and was unable to make his funeral so I deeply appreciate you posting his obit.
