Funeral services for Charles Ralph
Endicott, Sr., 68, of Miami who died Saturday, January 27, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital at Tulsa will be at the graveside at Hornet Cemetery in
Joplin,
Missouri at 2 PM, Wednesday, January 31 with Tim
Howell officiating. He will be afforded Military Graveside Rites. Interment will follow Hornet Cemetery in
Joplin under the direction of Benjamin Funeral
Service of Nowata.
Charles was born June 27, 1932 in
Creek County to Edward Frank and Zella Jacobs
Endicott. He moved to
Joplin,
Missouri with his family at an early age. He grew up in
Joplin and attended the
Joplin schools. Shortly after high school, he entered the army and served one hitch during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he moved to
Crane,
Texas where he met and later married Peggy Ausbern on June 11, 1955. In 1971, he moved to Yale and lived there until 1983. Charles lived in several places, serving on the police forces in Nowata, Cresent,
Pawnee and yale. Mr. Endicott moved to Miami in 1998. He loved sports and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his former wife and mother of his two children, Peggy
Tilley of Kingston; a son, Charles
Endicott, Jr. and his wife, Glenda of Yale; a daughter, Connie
Hawn and her husband, Ed of Nowata; four grandchildren: Chris, Brandon and
Garret Hawn of Nowata and
Josh Endicott of Yale; one great-grandshon, Lane
Cooper Hawn of Nowata; four sisters, Janeele
Williams of Fresno, California; Sue Cook of Quapaw; Flo
Sherrill of Pawhuska and
Faye
Wren of
Caney,
Kansas.
Mr. Endicott was preceded in death by two brothers: Norman and Lefty
Endicott and three sisters: Bernice Corley, Lorene
McCoy and Doris Floyd.
