Funeral services for Eva Mae Thomas, 88, of
Bristow, who died Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at
Tulsa, was Friday, January 26 at St. Pauls
Baptist Church at Lenapah with the Reverend Herman
Johnson officiating. Interment followed at
Cedar Bluff Cemetery more commonly known as Gooseneck Cemetery northeast of Lenapah, under the directon of
Schumacher Funeral Home of
Bristow.
Eva was born in Lenapah on September 11, 1912 to Timothy and Sally
Rogers Barksdale. She has lived in
Bristow for the last eight years, coming from
Los Angeles,
California. She and her husband, Lee Thomas, owned and operated a restaurant in
Texas before her retirement. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Eastern Star.
Eva Mae is survived by one brother, Allen
Barksdale of Bristow; her niece and nephew, Willie Mae
Farmer and Leon Farmer; two great nieces: Marzetta Kay
Barksdale and Joann
Vann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Thomas and one sister.
